The coincidence of the publication of my book (WHY SO STUPID) with the Iraq problem was not planned. It is both an advantage and a disadvantage. The crisis shows the huge need to move away from 'judgement thinking' to 'design thinking' as I indicate in the book. All the current thinking is judgement thinking.
The disadvantage is that the book will be seen to be connected with the Iraq crisis. This trivialises the book. The book is intended to be a fundamental reflection on the human thinking we have treasured for 2,400 years - not just a way of solving the Iraq crisis!
Usually, inadequacy is not a serious problem. It simply means that we cannot do certain things. So until this point in history the inadequacy (but excellence) of our thinking habits has been a disadvantage. But now this inadequacy risks becoming a very serious danger. As our thinking improves our technology, it is unable to improve human affairs thus the danger increases.
