Many people have realised that my latest book, WHY SO STUPID?, is not the sort of book you take into the corner for a cosy read - as you might a romantic novel or detective story. It is not really a book at all. It is a 'change agent'.
Many people are starting to order books for their entire board, or the partners in an organisation, or their executives - in order to get a change in the thinking of these people. The change needed is from standard responses to standard situations to the design and delivery of value.
Hoe else would you do this? There is no other way. Hours of conversation would not achieve the effect. A lengthy seminar might work - if the person agreed to attend. Hoping that 'leadership', example and osmosis might work is a very faint hope.
The important point about the book is that our existing thinking methods are excellent - but they are not enough. There is a whole other area of thinking that we are not good at - and usually do not even consider.
