I have been asked to distinguish between the World Centre for New Thinking and my proposed 'Palace of Thinking'. The World Centre is more of an office which functions as a co-ordinating centre. I have not been very active in this regard. The Centre does hold some courses for the EU.
The Palace of Thinking is to be an iconic building which gives 'Thinking' the importance and dignity it deserves. The year 2009 may be announced as the European Year of Creativity. The Palace of Thinking would focus creative thinking for that year.
I believe the Czech Republic is going to take over the Presidency of the European Union when France relinquishes it. Maybe there is some fine castle in the Czech Republic which could serve as a Palace of Thinking. Maybe France might like to re-assert its intellectual position in the world by offering a Palace of Thinking.
