"truth brush"

In one of my books I mention the 'truth brush'. This is used to apply a layer of truth to something with the intention of giving the impression thatbthe whole thing is true. The media are skilled users of the truth brush. There are indeed situations where there is some truth and the rest is speculation. This does not mean it is usefless but it does need to be seen as such. There are various other cosmetic brushes that can be used. You can amuse yourself by thinking what these might be.
