Let's look at some figures.

Sri Lanka conflict 51,000 killed.

Columbia conflict 35,000 killed

Algeria conflict 100,000 killed

Middle East 380 (in present intifada)

Northern Ireland over 3,000 killed.

Total US service personnel killed in WW2 - 280,000

Number killed in one afternoon in WW1 - 450,000

Now let's look at some other numbers:

Cost of Tate Modern gallery (UK) $300 million (approx).

Cost of renovation of British Museum (UK) $100 million.

Cost of International Space Station (US) $60 BILLION.

Cost od Dome (UK) $1 BILLION.

Might it not make sense to spend some money directly on the thinking involved in conflict prevention and conflict resolution? How can that come about? What can you do about that?
