MESSAGE FOR WEEK BEGINNING 10th January 2005 Achievement
Perhaps the simplest form of achievement is when a very young child puts one block on top of another. The design of possible forms of achievement is one of the duties of society - and much neglected. Part of the attraction of crime for youngsters is that crime is an immediate and attractive form of achievement.
I was Chairman of Young Entreprise Europe for some years. This organisation encourages youngsters to set up mini-businesses whilst still at school. There were one and a half million youngsters involved.
From this came the YEAH teams. Information of this can be obtained from the de Bono Foundation in Dublin, Ireland.
