MESSAGE FOR WEEK BEGINNING 18th July 2005

S.K.I.D.S.

Organisations have to assume that they have all the ideas they need. It would be too risky to think otherwise. I have mentioned the problem of S.K.I.D.S. either here or elsewhere.

Sufficient
Knowledge
Idea
Deficit
Syndrome

This is the case with many organisations that believe that information is enough to set strategy and make decisions. Without ideas the information is wasted because the full value of the information demands new ways of looking at the information and new ways of using the information.

All organisatrions need 'additional' thinking. This is not instead of their current thinking. This is not better than their current thinking. This is in addition to their current thinking. Even if not used directly a new idea can influence other ideas for example by showing new values.

If you are inteseted in new ideas for your organisation contact me.
