MESSAGE FOR WEEK BEGINNING 16th January 2006 font>Edward de Bono Thinking Clubs
The Clubs would be known as 'Edward de Bono Thinking Clubs'. Each Club would be given a registration number to distinguish it from other Clubs (see note 1).
1. There would be up to eight members in each Club. There may be less but there should never be more. The eight members allows for some members to be absent.
2. The meetings would always take place at the same time and place. This is more practical than trying to adjust to individual preferences on each occasion. Some discipline is needed.
3. Each meeting should last between ninety and one hundred and twenty minutes. The meetings would be held once a week, once a fortnight or once a month. Members would agree the frequency.
4. Individuals could take their own notes or someone can be degated to take notes (see note 2).
5. Topics will be suggested on this website (www.edwdebono.com/clubs/ - to be set up within the week). Meetings can also decide their own topics.
6. Each member of the club is expected to set up his or her own Club. So someone is a member of one Club and the organiser of another. The members of this other club are also expected to set up their own clubs.
7.Joint activities, tasks, problems etc will be suggested from time to time on the website indicated above.
8. There is an annual registration fee of GBP 30.00 (approximately equivalent of $50.00) payable to Cavendish Training per Club (see note 3).
9. Roles and positions within a Club should be decided by the Members. There is a need for an 'organiser' who makes sure that meetings take place.
10 The main purpose is to watch in action your own thinking and the thinking of others (see note 2).
Possible starting topics:
Edward de Bono
note 1: The registration number will be allocated by Cavendisg Training (edwdebono@msn.com). The registration number will be listed on the www.edwdebono.com/clubs/ website together with any name members wish to give the club. |
