MESSAGE FOR WEEK BEGINNING 1st May 2006 A new form of thinking game required
Sport and rock music occupy a great deal of the attention time of young people. The only mental activity used for entertainment are quiz shows or even spelling competitions. These may test memory and general knowledge but not thinking ability as such. Argumentws may be emotionally interesting but rarely show a high level of thinking. There is a need for a new form of thinking game or exercise that would provide good entertainment. The Six Thinking Hats could be an element of this. I intend to work on just such a design.
