MESSAGE FOR WEEK BEGINNING 31st July 2006 H+
My other recent book, "H+", has led to some interesting comments from people who have understood what it is all about. There is a huge need for 'minor achievements' in society but the opportunities are lacking. That may be why crime is so appealing to young people: the achievements are there.
In a way the remembrance of 7/7 (terrorists bombing in London) increases the achievement value both of the original terrorists and perhaps even future ones.
It would, of course, be impossible to deny terrorism any publicity but that would be the best way to remove some of the achievement of terrorism.
