MESSAGE FOR WEEK BEGINNING 14th August 2006 Direct Training of Thinking
If youngsters are trained to think (properly and not in the usual critical mode) they start to take control of their own lives. There is evidence that this reduces stress, suicide and crime. There is also evidence that training this new thinking directly. as a subject, increases performance in every other subject by between 30 and 100%. Some countries are much quicker to see this than others.
It is up to the parents to insist, directly ot through politicians, that their children are trained to think. The traditional approach of analysis, judgement and criticism is not nearly enough.
China and India seem to be moving more rapidly in this direction than other countries which are hamstrung by ignorance and tradition.
