MESSAGE FOR WEEK BEGINNING 9th October 2006 Communication
How much do we rely on facial expression, and one of voice to convey emotion? How much depends on the choice of words or their use? Give an estimate based on your opinion - or even carry out some testing.
I mention this because there is an interesting idea behind it.
We are so complacent about our thinking and communication that it does not usualy occur to us that these are more deficient than we realise. We have made so little progress in these areas for dozens of centuries.
