In some city I visited some months ago I was told that the prostitutes no longer offered sex but 'listening' to their clients. This seemed an excellent idea. To have someone paid to listen to you is good value. This is not the same as a psychiatrist or lawyer who feel they have to advise you to earn their fee. The ladies just listen and comment with the right facial expression - so I am told.
