complacency with our existing software for thinking

In my latest book "THINK: before it is too late" I examine our amazing complacency with our existing software for thinking. This is largely based on fixed patterns (language), recognition, judgement and technical matters. At the same time this system of thinking has been a complete failure in human affairs and has been responsible for wars,conflicts, persecutions etc. I shall discuss this in a further book. While our existing thinking was designed to find the truth (or to give that appearence) we have never developed thinking 'for creating value'. Individuals have done this on a personal basis but it has never been a formal part of education and culture. There is a mystique attached to creativity which protects it from being examined seriously. Yet we know that the formal tools of lateral thinking can produce new ideas in a deliberate manner.
