MEMBERSHIP & REGISTRATION

The Edward de Bono Creative TeamTM is temporarily resident on the Island of Jersey (Channel Islands) and is directed by Edward de Bono. He has appointed a few organisations to carry out administrative work on behalf of the Team. The Edward de Bono Creative TeamTM is being run as a team or club. Membership is of this team or club.

The links to the application forms on this page will lead you to the right form to use. When you have selected the appropriate type of registration 'click' on the link to view the application form. To use the form just print it out from the page. Having printed you can return to this page by clicking on the Back button at the top of the scene.

Payment of subscriptions , stated in Pounds Sterling (£ - GBP), can be made either by international money order, banker's draft or by cheque. Please ensure that the amount is specified in Pounds Sterling (£ - GBP). Applications will not be accepted by e-mail for security reasons. You should allow at least 14 days for the post and for a cheque to be cleared. Faxed applications with credit card payments will be acknowledged within four days. The application forms for membership will usually cover more than one page. Please ensure that you initial all pages that do not bear your signature.

Completing the Forms
Please write clearly using BLOCK CAPITALS.

The inclusion of an 'Occupation' is not mandatory but it would help identify the 'mix' of members of the Edward de Bono Creative TeamTM - every person and every experience is important.

Confirmation of Membership
Once an application for membership or registration of a member of a sub-team has been approved an e-mail will be sent to the individual (team-leader or sponsoring member if the individual does not have an e-mail address) confirming the membership or registration as the case may be. The e-mail will also contain a unique Membership ID Code which must always be quoted in any communication whatsoever with the Edward de Bono Creative TeamTM. Membership will be for a year from the date of acceptance (the date will be given in the e-mail).

Single Application for Membership
This is for when a single member applies for membership.

Under the current rules a Professional or Associate Member can apply to set up a sub-team - in order to do this the Professional or Associate Member must have already obtained membership. The reason for this is that the member will then apply to set up a sub-team giving the Membership ID Code (to provide linkage). Once application to set up a sub-team has been agreed it is necessary for each member of the sub-team to register and again the Membership ID Code must be given.

Provision is made for either an existing member to introduce two other members and for that member to claim a rebate for his own subscription for the following year based on the membership levels and subscriptions of the two new members.

Multiple Applications for Membership
Multiple Applications for Membership applies when a potential member introduces two other potential members at the same time - they can be of different levels of membership. The lead potential member can claim a rebate on his subscription, as described elsewhere. All three potential members must apply on the same form at the same time.

The other instance in which Multiple Applications for Membership can apply is when a confirmed member introduces two potential members at the same time. In this case the member can claim the rebate, allowed in the first case, to be held against the subscription for the following year. The two potential members must apply at the same time. The sponsoring member must provide his Membership ID Code.

Please note that at least for the time being multiple applications only apply to these two instances.

Creation of a Sub-Team
A Professional or Associate Member may create a sub-team of up to 25 current sub-team members. The member applying pays the subscriptions for the whole sub-team and is responsible for communication between the sub-team and the Edward de Bono Creative TeamTM. The member can recover the subscription and any other expenses from the members of the sub-team.

Registration of Sub-Team Members
All sub-team members must be registered. They do not pay any subscriptions to the Edward de Bono Creative TeamTM. The sub-team exists for as long as the Professional or Associate Member who set up the sub-team remains a member of the Edward de Bono Creative TeamTM. Sub-team members will be given appropriate Membership ID Codes which will identify them with the founding or current Professional or Associate Member leading the sub-team.
