The SIX THINKING HATS techniques are covered in Edward de Bono's book Six Thinking Hats and elsewhere on this web-site for instance the Six Thinking Hats workshop. The evident popularity and power of these techniques and methodologies can be evidenced by the large number of trainers in this field and the considerable success they have had.

How much better would it be for young children to become adept at these techniques so that they become 'second nature' to them instead of going through the hassle and frustration these techniques are designed to avoid in later life?

The lessons can be taught in School and can be incorporated into any curriculum situation enabling any subject to be enhanced, become more enjoyable and more effectively assimilated. They can also be used in families - either as an extension of school work or independent of it. It will teach the child that the techniques are not reserved to school or the curriculum but pertinent to any situation in life - at school, at home, with friends, at University, at work - wherever and whenever.

FUN TO TEACH - EASY TO LEARN

  1. Six Thinking Hats enables learners to focus on separate thinking skills, and then combine them to gain a complete perspective.

  2. Students associate the coloured hats with key words and questions that direct, redirect, and sequence their thinking.

  3. Practice items are practical and include models showing how to integrate the six hats into any curriculum subject.
